27 people have been arrested in a county in California for welfare fraud totaling over $140,000.

In addition to the 27 arrested, four others turned themselves in to the Tulare County Superior Court. It was not stated how the fraud was committed, but more details are likely to emerge. The crimes ranged in severity from misdemeanors to felonies.
