An explosion in between Wednesday and Thursday’s services caused minor damage to a church in Beaumont, Texas.

The explosion appears to have been caused by a “package bomb” that detonated on the front steps of the church. No one was injured, but damage was caused to the front of the building, including blown out windows and holes in the walls.

Authorities are investigating the package’s origins and what type of explosive device was used.
