49ers wide receiver Victor Bolden has been suspended for 4 games for violating the NFL’s policy on performance enhancing drugs.
Bolden says that he was unaware that he was taking a banned substance, but takes full responsibility for the action and accepted the NFL’s suspension.
49ers General Manager John Lynch commented on the suspension, saying, “Victor made an unintentional mistake, but learned a valuable lesson. Professional athletes must be meticulous in their supplement choices. We know Victor is disappointed, but we hope this is a reminder to all our players how important it is to make educated decisions on what to put in their bodies.”
