California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has revealed the cause of the Northern California wildfires that killed 15 people and burned at least 250,000 acres.

According to the report, the fires “were caused by electric power and distribution lines, conductors and the failure of power poles.” The poles reportedly belonged to San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric, who have not commented.

Several other fires from the outbreak last fall are still under investigation.
