White House legislative affairs director Marc Short is expected to leave the White House ahead of 2018 midterms, according to the Wall Street Journal.

WSJ reports that Short is leaving amidst “diminishing returns” from Congress when trying to get President Trump’s goals through. Short responded to the claims, saying, “There are so many leaks in this building.”

Short has been a very visible member of the administration, appearing on several news and talk shows to discuss and defend the President’s policies.
