A Florida man that was arrested for a DUI reportedly tried to reason with officers by saying he was not drinking while driving, but only at stop signs.
Earle Stevens Jr., 69, was approached by police after a woman says he kept hitting the bumper of her car in a McDonald’s drive-thru. He admitted that he did not have a driver’s license and police noticed a bottle of liquor open in the seat.
He then told police that he was not drinking while driving, but only taking sips of Jack Daniels when he was stopped. A breathalyzer showed that he was nearly twice the legal blood alcohol limit.
