Papa John’s is pulling founder John Schnatter’s image from all marketing materials associated with the food chain after reports he used a racial slur. A person with knowledge of the decision said the decision to remove Schnatter as the marketing face of Papa John’s was made by top executives.
The person did not know if there are plans to change the pizza chain’s name. Schnatter apologized and resigned as chairman after a report that he used the N-word during a media training session. He is still on the board and the largest shareholder.
