A staffer for Rhode Island Governor Raimondo has been charged with sexually assaulting a man who stabbed him.

Daniel Brown, 54, was charged Tuesday with 2nd-degree sexual assault and procuring alcohol for a minor. The 18-year-old man who stabbed him was charged with felony assault, but it is not clear if the case will be pursued. Brown had previously been arrested in 2014 for 2nd degree assault, but those charges were not taken up because the victim refused to cooperate.
