133 workers and 17 other individuals have been arrested in connection to a suspected conspiracy to exploit immigrant workers in Nebraska and Minnesota.

The bust covered 17 arrest warrants that stretched across both states. 13 different businesses were found to be connected to the operation, which has been under investigation by ICE for 15 months. The leaders of the operation are being accused of criminal conspiracy to exploit illegal alien laborers for profit, fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering.

It is believed that the immigrants would be brought in, then assume fraudulent identities belonging to U.S. citizens.
