A rabies alert has been issued in West Boca Raton, Florida, after a bat tested positive for the disease.

No exposures have been reported among humans. The bat was recovered in the Mission Bay area of the city, and was exhibiting neurological symptoms. Tests later confirmed the case, the 5th confirmed case of rabies in Palm Beach County.

Officials ask the public to report any animals that exhibit odd or aggressive behavior.
