A total of 263 cases are under review in Florida as a deputy misconduct probe has expanded.

A former Jackson County deputy is accused of conducting false traffic stops and planting meth onto people who were then arrested for possession. Earlier today, a judge vacated the sentences of at least 8 people due to the misconduct probe, after it was revealed that the drugs had been planted onto them.

In addition, the State Attorney’s Office said charges have been dropped against thirty-plus other defendants who were arrested between 2016 and 2018.
