At least seven people have been killed and a further 10 are missing after a shopping mall that was under construction collapsed in Monterrey, Mexico, according to the Associated Press.

At least two people were pulled safely from the rubble, and about 100 emergency officials are on scene searching the rubble for additional people who are trapped.

So far, the belief is that the victims are construction workers who were employed at the site. Somewhere between 20 and 25 people were believed to be working at the time of the collapse.
