Olympic speedskating medalist Jeanne Ashworth has died at the age of 80 of pancreatic cancer, according to the Associated Press.

Ashworth was the first American woman to win a medal for Olympic speedskating. She won the 500-meter bronze medal at Squaw Valley, California, in 1960.
