A Prince George’s County, Maryland, police officer has been arrested and charged with raping a woman during a traffic stop. Police Officer Ryan Macklin was suspended without pay following the allegations.  Macklin allegedly stopped a woman and sexually assaulted on October 11. He was arrested Monday night.

Macklin is charged with five counts of rape and assault. The officer is accused of forcing the female victim to perform a sexual act while they were both in her car in a nearby parking lot.
