An attempted kidnapping has been reported at Lincoln Elementary school, according to school officials.

The school district has sent out a notice to parents about the attempted kidnapping. The incident occurred when a student finished practice for an after school sport and was waiting to be picked up. Two hispanic men reportedly approached the child and tried to get her to come into their vehicle.

She asked the men if they knew her last name, and when they didn’t, she ran back into the school. She then notified school officials about the incident.
