A 6.8-magnitude earthquake has struck Greece, according to the United States Geological Service (USGS). The earthquake struck early Friday morning 35 km southwest of Lithakia, Greece. It struck at a depth of about 16.6 km.

The USGS PAGER service estimates that there is a 66% chance that the damage from the earthquake will be in the millions of U.S. Dollars.

UPDATE: There are reports of sea level changes, indicating a possible tsunami
