A babysitter in Maine was arrested after she was found drunk and without pants on a street. The two young children she was hired to watch were left alone inside a home, police said.
Lauren Gelinas, 25, was arrested Tuesday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child after police in Bangor got a call about a disturbance on Ohio Street, WGME reports. Officers then found Gelinas outside and not wearing pants, socks or shoes, according to the station. She told police she was taking care of two children at a nearby home. Police later found two children under the age of 5 in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Gelinas was ordered held on $500 bail and was expected to return to court in December.
