Justin Smith, a former soccer coach, has been found guilty of several child sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl he coached.

Smith fled after testifying in the trial and was not in the courtroom when the guilty verdict was handed down. Police say he disabled his electronic tracker anklet and was able to escape after leaving for lunch. Police are continuing to look for him.

Smith has waived his right to a jury trial, and as such, the judge handed down the guilty verdict, saying that he broke his trusted role as coach. Smith was charged with three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of sexual battery and two counts of sexual imposition.
