At least 29 people have died in historic flooding in Italy, according to officials. The death toll rose on Sunday with the death of 12 people in Sicily, including nine people who were having dinner together when the house was submerged by water.

Two children, ages 1 and 3, are among the dead. “High winds and heavy rain have devastated parts of the country over the past week.” There has been over $1.14 billion in damage thus far.
